Not everyone thinks Lisa was the be all and end all of QVC, that she alone has kept the business afloat all these years, or that she represents Womankind on a shopping channel by her very presence. Not all viewers, and I'm sure not all (or any?) QVC execs. There is the Real World and then there is Lisaworld.

Re: Missing From Lisa's Show

Lisa made a lot of money for QVC selling their products. That was her job and she did it well and got paid handsomely for doing it. But all the muss and fuss over her departure was over the top IMO.

KathyPet, they live in Lisaworld, it is not a real world but a world that revolves around Lisa

24/7. All this nonsense that the execs did not come down. I am sure they took her out. These people who are so in love with this woman are scary!

I agree. I went to her facebook page after someone made a comment about it and a lot of it is creepy. Some women spend their lives watching her every move. The thread that was started today because Lisa slept in is an example.

Re: Missing From Lisa's Show

I""m beginning to wonder if people made such a fuss when Oprah did her last show? I think she influenced more people than a QVC shopping host ever did.

Did people read Oprah's Facebook page the day after her last show....to see what time she woke up???

If they did....that's just too weird.

Re: Missing From Lisa's Show

Lisa, along with several other hosts and public figures, are on my Facebook feed too. There's nothing creepy about it. You'd think by the way some of you talk, following someone on Facebook means you're obsessed with them and you don't have your own life and interests. Nothing is further from the truth. If you're not interested in the subject matter of this thread, then please move on and stop passing judgment on everyone else. Since your lives are so filled with meaning, more so than everyone else's, why do you spend your time on a shopping channel board anyway? Just to make cruel comments? Now THAT'S creepy, IMO.

Personally, I liked her. I think she was good at her.job, and on the outside world, she's probably a nice and fun person to know. Imo, there would have a lot less vitriol directed at her if she were married with a few kids. Maybe even a few extra pounds. Some people don't really like a strong, independent, successful woman who is single and loving life. Forget it if she's gorgeous and doesn't look like the stereotype for her age. Some can't stand that and so they look for ways to pick and poke. It's just my opinion, but it's also been my.observation over time. A lot of women who are really disliked by other women fit that mold...single and successful. It's interesting.

Well said .... It's interesting ... and very sad, IMO. {#emotions_dlg.unsure}

A lot of women just don't like seeing a woman who's not only beautiful, but accomplished and educated. I thought QVC needed at least one more polished and sophisticated host, for variety if nothing else, but that seems to really ruffle a lot of feathers. It's difficult for some to watch someone who's worked hard and made something of themselves. Not every woman wants to be a wife and mother. We all make our choices.

When will the day come when women will be happy for other women's accomplishments? {#emotions_dlg.crying}

So ignorant. They do that in private celebrations, as class acts do. Why would they do it on air...to please YOU ?

So very true. And while I'm sure it was Lisa's decision to leave QVC, I still think it's because someone "ruffled her feathers" -- didn't give her her way about something. She certainly had become a legend in her own mind, in my opinion.
