Being privileged doesn't insure success, just as being disadvantaged doesn't insure failure.
Some of the most disadvantaged have become quite successful. They didn't waste their time on excuses and blaming others.

Yes exactly, I just finished a book last weekend written by someone who came from a hillbilly disadvantage background. What a read and what a success was made from that poverty substance abuse filled childhood.

Unless Dolly Parton is hillbilly, I'm not familiar with any. Although drugs weren't involved, she was poor and has become more than a little successful.

Dolly is a great example, as would be Loretta Lynn.
Amazing that a few posters can't accept that successful people from many diverse fields have risen to fortune (and fame) without having "privilege" initially, whatever that means to them.

Personally, I don't think any one person should have that much wealth. And Elon Musk, his companies conduct cruel experiments on dogs in the name of "science" He's despicable.

How sad, it does not bother me how much someone as in the bank. Good for them.

I believe in maximizing your personal wealth without borders or boundaries based on your own expertise!
That's capitalism at its finest. No limits!

The drug involved in my mother's hillbilly upbringing in WV was alcohol. The drug involved in my father's poor upbringing in TX was alcohol. They have done quite well for themselves. They didn't repeat the cycle. Not billionaire status tho.
