Hi, I was wondering is anyone here a middle child or do you believe in this middle child syndrome? I only have one sibling so I am not a middle child, (I'm the baby IE yes I was a little spoiled back when.lol). But.............

I have seen this happen in many families that the middle child is either left out (unintentionally) OR they get blamed for everything. The reason I bring this up is, I have my middle granddaughter staying here for a few days. And well.........

ALL I hear is she did this she did that (at home). Well, I have been keeping them all (at times) 3X a week this summer. So, IMO they (the oldest and the youngest) pick on her too much. Sooo, she just has some trouble getting along with them at times, and I feel sometimes my daughter blames her for what the other two may start. (not to say that she is innocent always but that is how I see it most times), and I might add my son, who has no children yet- agrees with me.

So she's here overnight b/c she wanted to stay over (we take turns keeping each one mostly) and shes an ANGEL. I have NO problems with her ever, so I say its middle child syndrome "at home". (And my daughter says yeah right..lol).

(In fact I have them all pegged as in their age categories. The oldest tends to run the roost kind of waivers over the others like big sis. And the youngest is well typical baby and a little spoiled IMO..lol)

So were you a middle child, do you believe in this middle child thing (that they get picked on more?). Just wondering b/c I feel my middle granddaughter is "misunderstood"

PS I am not taking her side over the others, I love them all the same, (AND I treat them all the same) but I just call it as I sees it (as they say).

And in the end, the love you take is equal to the love you make~ The Beatles
