You OBVIOUSLY have NO CLUE and don't CARE about animal abuse. Really SAD, but not surprising.

You can understand what animal abuse is and involves and still have the capacity to forgive.

Perhaps 'forgiveness' (which incidentally, isn't any more indicative of intelligence or strength than this thread is about eating meat, despite efforts to obfuscate that reality...) is possible for some, but I'm sorry, again, 'respect' is not part of any equation involving such sick, unmitigated cruelty to a helpless being, you know, just for kicks. I agree with the poster who noted people have to be hardwired to be so callous. Behaviors might change, but I'm not sure I believe that which is intrinsic, what some might call the soul, is, at its core, capable of that much change.

Sorry I don't forgive or respect him.

If that sounds harsh, oh well. It's not as harsh as having jumper cables hooked to your body and thrown into a swimming pool.

What if they did that to him when he doesn't play well?

You are so right stevieb. I don't think it's us that Vick has to worry about getting forgiveness from. He's going to have to deal with the man upstairs. He is a vile person who (despite what other posters spout out of their mouth) has shown no regret and no redemption and I don't think we are to forgive such acts that he did and whoever defends him, obviously feels the same way he does so you can't argue with such as they will defend him to the end.

I think he is saying those things so people will forgive him. I don't believe he is truly sorry.

Thank you.  One person even believes he should have been executed.  Angry about the killing of animals but has no problem with killing a human being.  The hypocrisy of America.

thats right, I do beleive he should die for what he did to those dogs..I have no problem with that

How sad for you.

@Bestdressed

You're a good soul!

Unfortunately w/ the past history of this particular poster, @italia8140,

I have a feeling it's going to fall on deaf ears.

Not a lot of 'Merry'.

Not a lot of 'Christ'.

But a lot of 'mas' (Spanish, no accent = 'but'.  Add a t, if you want).

It's only hypocrisy if one is sanctimonious enough to assume their value system is the only 'right' one... Had he executed multipile human beings in the truly heinous fashion that he executed those animals, he most likely would still be in prison and would likely have been given a maximum sentence, possibly including the death penalty. I'm not saying I feel that would've been appropriate, though I feel his sentence was minimal, but there are those of us who do place a very high value on the lives and treatment of animals and who also feel that not all human life is equally sacrosanct. Given that, the opinion that harsher punishment was justified is not hypocritical.
