It's a hard come down from where he sits. After being the very best and training so hard all your life, hard to adjust to 'regular' life.
Where to put all his drive & energy and will anything ever measure up to this high? Best to Michael![]()

He has never had a regular life. Didn't he have a full ride to U of Michigan and lasted a short time? After the Olympics he was going to be a golfer. From what I read he spent 2 years partying.
Someone needs to step in before he seriously injures or kills someone.

When it comes to prosecution, I wonder if the first DUI will count since it was ten years ago. I'd like to think it would but I guess it depends on the laws of the given state.
I sure wish people wouldn't get drunk and hit the road. It is so arrogant and we DO have choices. People with wealth have more choices than others, so it's really surprising to see them doing this. It just upsets me. So what for the DUI, but you could kill an innocent person, or family, who just happen to be on the road with you.

As I understand from reading about him years ago, he has ADHD and has a lot of difficulty pursuing anything with much success. The only thing he found success with was swimming and the strict regimen of training for the Olympics. Even with that, his motivation suffered greatly before this last Olympics where he competed. I believe his mother is/was pushing him to compete in the 2016 Olympics in Brazil, but he does not keep to the training schedule needed to qualify.

Yes, the law and others do give favoritism to certain segments of society. That being said, alcoholism is a disease of denial.
Men have a higher tolerance for alcohol than females and don't always know they can't drive.
