Ahhh, makes sense. Thank you. I did just Google the stadium and discovered that's where the NYC teams play. That is probably another reason.

Yes that too. We get the teams and NY gets the recognition. It is actually a nice stadium to go to. Easy to get to get to, but it will be very cold. Since our local stations here in NJ come out of NY. The fact that the game is played in NJ kinda gets lost even here. So don't feel bad that you were not aware. Smile

Hi,

Just came back here. Thanks C for explaining.

JJ'sMom, no problem. People out of the area don't know the bizarre relationship between the teams' names and where they play. They really should be the NJ Giants/Jets. JMO.

Anyway, my rant was about the sportscasters, some of whom were players and played at MetLife, (which locally is referred to as Giants Stadium) and should know better.

The only true New York State team is the Bills - and even they play one game a year in T.O.!

BTW - When I dated an NFL player, many years ago, he played for the Jets in a strike season...he was desperate to continue playing. His residence was back in WNY and he stayed with another player out on Long Island.

The taxes taken out of his check were CRAZY. The Jets practiced in Hempstead, NY, the checks came out of a NYC office, but they played home games in NJ. Everyone got to take out taxes...plus states where they played away games that had state income taxes.

It all was washed out at tax time, but the deductions were CRAZY!
