I don't think anyone can beat Hanyu. He has already scored over 100 points, which is unheard of. Unless he falls or really makes an error, he is golden. What an elegant, graceful skater he is. I hated to see the American fall down. But to get up and finish his program was spectacular. That's what I call American grit!! I apologize for not knowing his name!!

I think it's Olympic grit. I've seen it time and time again with athletes from many different countries. It's that competitive drive and determination.

I think all the jumps etc. ( who will do a quad, who won't ) make many of the performances a series of jumps rather than an exhibition of grace and fluidity. I wonder how many jumps were in Scott Hamilton's Olympic Gold routine? He was one of the best.

If you want spoilers you can look on several websites. I saw some real time streaming earlier today and all I'll say here is hold on, there is a lot of drama and a bit of an upset. They are right about Jason Brown's charisma, I fell for it last night and am eager to see his program tonight.

Now...who want's to talk curling? {#emotions_dlg.biggrin}

I think Jason Brown is adorable, and he represented USA very well!

Perhaps you should start your own thread about Curling? I would join you... I don't understand all the points, but get the basics and I think it would be super fun to try. Ice, a big stone, a broom and a bullseye.... what's not to like? {#emotions_dlg.laugh} Besides, the fashion is off the charts!!!!

I agreed with the outcome but thought in general the finals were lackluster.

Who is the commentator with Scott Hamilton? She is so distracting with her inane comments during the performances. Afterward she can comment on the various jumps etc. Just allow us to watch and listen to the music.
