Yes! But you had to wait until it dried out or it wouldn't break off easily.
And if you held it up closer to the top you had a better chance of getting the big end.😉😆

My sister and I did the wishbone thing too![]()
You reminded me of my sister-I always thought she was so smart and clever, and still is. I'm sure she figured that out just like you said!![]()

Fruit salad in jello has been a thing for decades and decades. Also fresh fruit in jello.
This will probably gross out many here... pear haves turned upside down with a small dab of mayonnaise, topped with shredded cheddar cheese. Oh that brings back so many dinner time memories at home.

My MIL also made pear halves, covered in cream cheese, and then covered with halved black olives. They looked like GRENADES to me...

I love the Coke-cola at McDonald's. When I go in the smell of coffee is overwhelming. Reminds me of my Daddy. He worked third shift. When I was little I would know that Daddy was home because he had started his percolator. He like his coffee strong enough to walk across the counter.

Yep--fruit cocktail in jello--yuck!! Another one for me is egg noodles--my mom would melt butter, add corn flake crumbs and saute and then toss with the cooked egg noodles with maybe some parsely on top--OMG---we chowed down on that !! Another one--instant breakfast and pop tarts--the breakfast of champions on school mornings!!!

I loved fruit cocktail and we also had it in our jello. But my childhood memory was my mom's pineapple upside down cake. My mom would make it often and it was so good.
