I lost my mom last year in October. She was not quite 98.  Our relationship was not without tension sometimes, but when I helped care for her in her final years ( she stayed at home), all of that changed.  

I never thought when I was younger that I could love or forgive my mother, but as one of her caregivers as she faced cancer and dementia, I had a chance to reconnect with and to love her.  I really miss her.

I'm saddened to hear you've lost your Mom.  Holidays is an esp difficult time to feel relationships, events, & the like in general.  Altho, losing someone can be difficult any time, eh?

Holidays is when we need to stick together, band together, join together, visit together,yeah, even on Chat rooms like QChat.

PLUS, dont forget, that "Inner Child" inside each and every one of us, that is yearning to be appreciated, loved & enjoyed.

I lost my beloved Dad a couple of years ago.  I just celebrated his Birthday this past Nov 29th here, on QChat with a "Birthday Card to Heaven!"   heh 

    I miss him, but I know I'll join him, when I'm supposed to.

                          

In memory of @KailaS 's Mom.  May Mom have such peace now, free from pain, sadness, tears & fears. 

@Kaila is here with us, now,  and we'll all band together around her, Mum, esp at this Holiday time.  And hopefully, she'll be able to band around us too.  We can support one another.
