I hope you are all having a safe and peaceful holiday. It's a lovely day here, 72 and sunny. We're just having burgers in the backyard, and some Ben &Jerry's for dessert. Take care everyone.

Even though I don't celebrate Memorial Day, I am thankfull that this country has offered me its hospitality, kindness and I am pleased for that.

Hot, humid and 90 in my neck of the woods!

Your plan sounds like ours. DH and I are going to grill hamburgers later. Just us - no get togethers yet. We have an apple pie for dessert - love it warm with some vanilla ice cream on top!

Childcare time right now (babe is sleeping) as hubs and son go fishing. We'll have BLTs, corn on the cob and grilled vegetables with strawberry shortcake for early dinner. Muggy but sunshine in the Midwest.
