According to interviews Meghan has given in the past, her mother and father had a friendly divorce and raised her together. She had two homes. She has said she is close to her father.

At first I didn't think this was true, but if KP issued a statement like this, it must be.

Meghan has got to be devastated. I'm sure she's worried about her dad and wishing he could be there.

There's always more we don't hear about .... he could be suffering from depression or dementia, or struggling with alcoholism .... or any number of things.

who knows what is true and what isn't.  all i know is that i wouldn't wish this kind of upset on any bride days before her wedding.  especially with the whole world watching.

I think what's really sad is the half sister at one point did say that Meghan never cared about their welfare, never asked and yet she's on a mission to save the world?  Her poor dad needed some funds.  Why didn't she know?  She has plenty of her own money to help him out.  He's probably just collecting social security.  I think this whole debacle reflects badly on her.  The uncaring daughter who wants to help strangers but not her own dad.

Her family, except for her mother, are creating a circus atmosphere and much embarrassment for her. I don't blame her for not inviting them to her wedding. She did very well for herself before she met Harry so good for her, now she is marrying a man who is obviously in love with her. I don't think her other relatives care at all about her, Only themselves.

It's hard for me to believe that Meghan did not have an idea that her relatives could react to the wedding plans and her new situation in this way. Even her Mother should have figured there was going to be trouble and should have been proactive. I read where Meghan is worth 5 million dollars, if indeed that is true, she could have paid for her whole family to come to the wedding and possibly could have avoided this embarrassment.

Here's what I think:

I think because of her father's legal troubles in the US, he is either unable to get a visa to travel to England or he is unable to leave Mexico as he will get picked up in any NATO country he travels to.

I think this is more about his legal issues than this " faux pictures" story.

As weird as this may sound, I do feel bad for Meghan. She is approaching the most important day of her life and she only has her mother as family support.
