Is forecasted to rise to 144.30 in 2020

COLA increase is not determined yet. Due out in October.

All say won't be as good as the one we got in 2019.

Just a heads up, folks.

I'm not surprised, it doesn't matter who runs health care as long as it's profit driven.

@sunshine45  Many people would be happy to pay $187. a month for Medicare.  That would mean they have a higher income. If single $70,000 to $107.00 and if married $107,000 to $214,000.  Some people pay higher premiums yet.

The $10 increase to $144.30 is going to hurt many lower income Medicare seniors.  I hope there is a Social Security COLA to help cover the costs.

Thank goodness the Medicare Part B deductible will remain at $183.  Many seniors do not have coverage for this charge if they have a supplement.

New numbers for 2019   Standard part B 135.50. Going up in 2020.

But if income is above 85,000 to 107,000 individual or

                                     170,000 or above married

ADD $54.10 to 135.50. = $189.60 for Part B.  Going up in 2020.

PLUS supplement and drug plan.

Just learned all of this. Got my Medicare A/B card last week effective 9/1.

Had a lot to learn. Thankful for some information I received here.
