Mean Girls

I was talking to my granddaughter who is in the 4th grade and was totally amazed at what I heard. Apparently the girls at her school are really mean. She said one girl thinks she is the boss of everybody and tells them who they can play with and who to leave out. My granddaughter is a real sweet person so she said she played with the girl that she was supposed to snub and told everyone she was really nice but nobody would listen and still snubbed the girl. This didn't go on when I was in school and I was sad to hear it. We had cliques that hung together but we were never mean or snobbish to anyone else. I only have happy memories of school but I guess things are really different now.
