lots of December B Days, DooB and Burnsite!

I just received this silver and turq line bracelet. It had been on waitlist for awhile and finally came this week

Sleeping Beauty Turquoise Diamond Cut 7-1/4 Sterling Tennis Bracelet

I was eyeing that, too. Are you happy with it?

seagal, Much less of the plating and finessing. The items are lightweight but real gold, 80% at least. Gold is back.

Beautiful gold and turquoise pieces. My weaknesses are jade, turquoise and pearls, and the turquoise is sleeping beauty. I love the opaque stones.

I have a lot of pieces from when prices were comparatively inexpensive but did get the line bracelet with turquoise as well today.

I think turquoise looks best when set in gold. And one simply doesn't see that--ever--in my local jewelry stores.

Hi, Burnsite! I'm a huge fan of turquoise in yellow gold. It definitely is hard to find, perhaps simply because of the fact it's traditionally seen in white metals in this country. I have a few pieces from the Q from the 1990s when I started watching them, and I've found several when visiting Spoleto USA in Charleston, S.C. (not sure why they seemed to offer it there).

I'm glad gold is back. I'm fortunate to have more jewelry than I really "need,"{#emotions_dlg.laugh} but it's great to see the solid pieces beginning to surface on QVC again.

I don't have it in hand, in my safe deposit box, but my most valuable turquoise piece is done with gold, 14K, by LeVian . . . and the turquoise is the Robin's Egg. My other pieces are just Lucky or Fossil and others.

Hi, Qwackertoo! Oh, my goodness that sounds magnificent. Do you still find pieces available?

Hi dooBdoo!!! Once in a great while I'll find one. I think I found this piece 5-7 years ago. Maybe a little before gold skyrocketed. I have all my receipts saved in a file.

My birthstones are Pearl and Alexandrite. I'll probably never own a real nice Russian Alexandrite. Smiley Sad I did get my Mother's pearls out of the safe deposit box last trip to TX, since I'm the only June girl . . . my uncle bought them for her when she sent him 25.00 when he was stationed in Japan in like '63 or so . . . Mikimoto graduated necklace. I wore it to a military ball once after checking with jeweler to make sure it didn't need to be re-strung as I had visions of it breaking and me crawling around on my hands and knees trying to pick up the pearls. Smiley Happy

A friend of mine, her Mother had some of those nice . . .oh the word escapes me at the moment . . . turquoise necklaces . . . I'm sure y'all know what I'm talking about. Too bad she sold them or gave them away before she passed away.

Yes, tansy.

I like it very much. The stones are bright blue. It's petite, but I wanted it to stack with other bracelets. The diamond cutting around each stone is a very nice touch

That's beautiful, azterry! I don't want to hijack the thread and will go back to watching the presentations now. I've really missed the gold shows.

azterry (enjoy that pretty bracelet!) and Burnsite, We'll have to hold a December birthday party when the time comes. Our special day does get tend to get lost in the holiday excitement, doesn't it?

Qwackertoo, That's so cool you have your mother's lovely pearls. I hope you'll get a special Russian Alexandrite someday.

Maybe I'll watch a few of the shows, too, before the day is done.

This place always bickered. Come on folks, it did.

I go back to 2000/2001 and never was it all sweetness and light here.

Hi b - That's right. It has always been a mix of bickering and fun. It would swing back and forth between very bad periods and not so bad.

I think memory somehow makes it seem like "good ol' days" when it really wasn't much different.

I do think the political anger and aggression is worse, but I think the board just follows the real world with that.

I just finished hoop practice and put some dinner in the oven and am reading about the gold shows - I'm afraid to watch! I just paid for my dance classes and I ordered a new hoop.

And my new hoop is metallic GOLD!

HA!
