FYI.Matt Mika, the 38 year old lobbyist who was helping out at the Alexandria baseball practice, was shot four times and remains as of June 15 is critical condition. He is conscious and able to communicate through notes due to a breathing device. He's already had surgery for the chest and arms bullets and will require more later. I finally found an update on him from USA news. None of the television news networks seem to be covering him at all. His family must feel they are out there alone. He is in my thoughts and I hope his recovery goes smoothly. He's suffered a lot of trauma.

True, we are receiving few reports on Matt Mika, but he is always included in our prayers and we pray that he will be returing to full health in the near future. There are prayers for each and every person who was injured in this unbelievable event - how could an American do this to another American if they are in fact, reasonably sane.

@RainCityWoman thanks so much for the update. Yes, all we are hearing about is Scalise and I want to hear about all of them, including the female officer shot as well. I wish they'd give all of them coverage, not just Scalise. I pray for them all!

I agree. I had to do a lot of searching earlier today for an update and wondered why they have not reported more on him.  I hope he makes a full recovery.

It's true-- at the very beginning, the media seemed to be reporting on all of them, then their focus narrowed.  This assassination attempt was broad-based, not aimed at a single individual. All who were shot or injured from diving into dugouts or whatever protective action they had to take, are in my prayers for full recovery.
