New poster asking about something that is very personal about a host?

Yeah, reeks of trollish behavior.

It's a wonder that we haven't seen a thread asking when was the last time that a particular host went to the bathroom.

Seven of ten responses have been to criticize the OP for asking her question.  Weird that the people who say it's none of the OP's business would bother to read a thread that holds no interest to them.  To answer the question that was asked of us, I have no idea, but I hope Mary is soon on the mend and back at work.

I completely disagree with your response @AuntG.  The OP's thread title was, "Mary's Surgery."  I for one, thought something dire was announced on one of Mary's shows where the host incredulously spoke about some surgery issue.  That's why I opened it.

But the OP's question was some convoluted issue about QVC's channels???  I don't get the connection, I certainly don't see how baiting the title would seriously get to whatever the OP was asking.  So without the OP's clarification, it deserved the responses it received, IMO.

If Mary didn't share that information, obviously she wants to keep it private.

She doesn't owe anyone an explanation...

I don't know about you, but I have to read a thread to know whether or not "a thread holds no interest" to me or not.

I actually had no idea she was talking about a host or I wouldn't have bothered to open it, I thought maybe a family member named Mary was having surgery.

She could have been clearer in her thread title and post, but like others, I don't get the correlation between knowing about Mary's surgery and finding QVC channels.

Every poster has the right to voice their opinion of a thread or post, regardless of what their opinion is (within Q's Standards, of course).

If Mary mentioned surgery it is possible she may have mentioned what kind of surgery.

I think the QVC hosts create all kinds of unnecessary speculation and "buzz" about host's health issues when they reveal too much personal information.  Why didnt she just say she will be off air for a bit, but nothing is changing in my role with QVC,  and leave it at that........

Agree; if you're going to open your big mouth about it, tell the whole story.  I see nothing wrong with asking about it here on the boards if the host brought it up in the first place.
