Mary Beth. Outstanding presentations today.

[ Edited ]

I had the pleasure of watching Mary Beth Roe present Sports Saavy with Elena Duque today. I was so impressed with how thorough her presentations were. So much information was given about each garment that I did not have to look anything up about them the way I have had to do so many other times in recent years. I'm loving so many things from the show that I have to narrow down my choices. Kudos also go to brand rep Elena, who was able to flawlessly mesh with MBR and make for a delightful show.

Mary Beth came on again at noon and just continued to make every presentation as good as it can get. I'm getting ready to add the tumblers she showed with Mark Charles Miselli in another awesome presentation. Mark Charles and MBR provided everything I need to know about why these tumblers are so great. Every feature was explained. There was professionalism with just the right amount of levity to keep the show from being too dull.

I'm also ordering the ink stamps that cover up personal information. MBR and the brand rep had a great rapport and were also very thorough and professional. I still need to know how well the ink works on slick paper. I expected the brand rep to address this, but this issue might have been deliberately omitted.

Everyone I watched on air today is an asset to QVC.

She's been a host for 40 years; she should be at the top of her game.

It's  not length of time, others have been hosts for years, it's that MB puts in the time to be prepared. She doesn't rely on reading the information from the note cards while hosting.

The Guard Your ID ink roller was a waste of money.  I ordered one they offered a few years ago and it took several swipes to block out anything.  But if you held it up to the light you could still see all the information you were trying to cover.   Glossy paper was even worse.  Smeared.

Much better to just get a shredder instead.

@CoffeeNut   I had exactly the same experience.  Right into the garbage it went.

@chrystaltree @She seemed a bit nervous over the past few weeks. It was crimping her style. She was back on top of her game today.

@CoffeeNut @It's looking like they have improved this product so that you can't see through it. I'll be checking reviews from recent purchasers. See through is why I never bought the product before. @CoffeeNut @I just read through all the reviews. The same problem continues. According to some reviewers, it also doesn't work well on RX bottles and glossy paper or labels.

Thank you.

UPDATE It seems that many here on the Forum do get it to work for them, so it seems like buyers are divided about this item. Thanks again.

Re: Mary Beth. Outstanding presentations today.

I don't understand the problem.  I have been using these since they first came out and they work fine for me.  Especially on Rx bottles.  Depending on the darkness of the print I usually only have to swipe once.  It is slippery on shiney paper but just let it dry and it is fine.

@Mindy D .  Some of the first ink stamps presented many years ago didn't work well on slick paper.  The company was made aware of this and have changed them, I have different versions and the most recent seem to work much better.

I like them and I typically only need 1 swipe to cover up the information.

Re: Mary Beth. Outstanding presentations today.

@luvmybeetle  I agree with you.  I love these.  I use them on my prescription labels all the time and as stated before, they may require a second swipe sometimes, but they do a fine job for me.  When I bought mine a while ago, they specifically mentioned they weren't for slick or glossy paper.  Since then, I have seen newer versions that the presenter mentioned worked on glossy.  Mine came in a set of 3, and I gave one to my sister who also loves it.
