I did watch this morning and I did make a purchase. I love the quality of Martha's clothing. At times it almost looked like Martha was nodding off and then at  times she was very engaged. My husband is her age and that sums him up very nicely on any given day! One minute he's wide awake and the next he's out like a light.....mid-sentence! He's very social and a hard worker but he's gettin' old!
I think Terri did a pretty good job of carrying the show. As a host there is so much spiel she's responsible to cover and then repeat. All in all, good show and I can't wait to get my new sleeveless hoodie.

I loved it when she said that she wore 'hot pants' many years ago.

And, I believe it was Susan Graver who recently mentioned 'hot pants'.  

I, too, remember wearing 'hot pants'.  I don't recall, but did we wear them over panty hose, or maybe tights?  I don't think we wore them bare legged, but I wouldn't bet on that.

@ROMARY   oh yes, hot pants Wasn't that about 1974 or 6?   Yes, I remember my favorite hot pants , lol. Beige lined lace, with a hip belt, leotard type top, and this matching lace jacket. lol. I wore them with those popular Cherokee wood heeled Sandals. And a wide brimmed hat. lol that was stylin. lol lol. 

ETA. I had to correct!!  lol my computer kept putting pants  instead of pants. lol in fact it did it again, what is going on?  I had to put pants in three times before the correct word woukd be accepted.

I watched and I don't think bored is the word I would use.
She has such a condescending attitude. The hosts work hard at trying to impress her and she expects it. My opinion only.

@Mz iMac - Really?  I think we have a lot of examples of that in this country today.  And none of them were sent to prison.  (And, if they were, they weren't there long.)  Hmmm.

Martha never complained, never b*tched, just got on with it.  And I'm of the persuasion that she was, indeed, used as an example or a scapegoat.

She has my eternal admiration for someone who deals with whatever is dealt to her and moves on, making a success of her life by her own efforts.  Not someone who had it handed to her.  Women already start out with at least one strike against them in the business world.  (Correction:  in any world!)

She looked kindof mopey.  Just down.  She's starting with her age.  She's 84.  Slowing down. I loved the show, but all the good stuff, size 2 was gone.  So I couldn't get anything I wanted.  I didn't realize it wasn't a new show.  Just a rehash of earlier things she showed. I missed her ealrier shows and forgot to tape them.

@Venezia  I don't think I ever bought anything of hers.  Not a magazine, cookie cutter. I never tuned in her shows either.  My husband watched her, so I would hear her shows.  He is was an aeronautic engineer, so he liked the precise cooking and no frills showmanship. lol I am more of an Ina Garten, or that Nadia from Bitchin Kitchen show person!   lol. But I will say. Martha is probably one of the greatest marketers, and business women of my  time. You know at one time she had more business ventures going than anyone, and each successful. I do think she was pawn in the game. So,done had to be punished, and she was it. She did serve her time,  did a service while in there, and didn't get out and whine and snivel or file law suits. She also may be a woman who is personal and easy with only a few in her life she trusts.   She is mid 80's and still going. I laud her for that.

Pronouncing each syllable, etc. Her nature I think. I think Martha is a careful, exacting person as well. Maybe these days, her age the traveling is hard...she would like to be somewhere else.   She is a good business woman.  Probably one of the most determined, go getters out there in her time.

@shoekitty I agree and I will admit I have learned a lot from her since her original book out in the 1980's!  I am very thankful for all that she has brought over the years.  She is a trooper, and has high standards for living.  

I always enjoyed listening and learning from her, and wish I could say the same about more of those on air at QVC.
