I thought Jamie blew the smoking episode way out of proportion. I worry she will look for any little flaw to walk.

I agree. I could never live with someone like that walking on eggshells.

There was a preview of the upcoming 6 month show. It showed the host, who was never on before, asking about this. We also saw that Monet and Vaughn don't think much of each other. Wink

Some funny editing then because it was looking like they were beginning to get along.

Re: Married at First Sight - the Finale

I loved the show, what a concept. I was rooting for Jamie and Doug since he is so likable and so in love with her. I think Jamie will lighten up now that the initial pressure is off. I really liked Courtney and Jason too. Very sweet couple. I hope Courtney gets to meet his Mom, with ber being so ill I didn't understand them not meeting. She obviouzly knew Jason got married, odd. I was not at all surprised that Monet and. Vaughn chose to vet divorced. I didn't care for bim. I thought from day one that he had a real mean streak. And I liked Monet. I hope she finds real love. Can't wait for next week's show!

I wouldn't be surprised if it is the editing, and if all of them are being coached again. It may be a case of Vaughn and Monet just deciding they don't want to stay "married," and they are being asked to play up their "distaste" for each other for the cameras.

I think one big draw for Jamie is Doug's family. She kept saying over and over she didn't have a close family, but she kept calling her sister, and her mother was at the wedding. And what was the big deal about taking Doug to the trailer where she grew up? She worked hard so she didn't have to live there any longer. I thought her sister's house looked nice. I wouldn't be surprised if her stepfather beat her mother - or her - when she was younger. She said last night something about possibly being "beaten" as marriages go along. I would imagine that's not even on the radar screen in Doug's world. And Jamie wanted someone with a close, loving family, which she has with Doug.

With all of her comments, I kind of felt sorry for her mom. At least she came to her daugher's wedding. She didn't have to.

Re: Married at First Sight - the Finale

I loved this show! And I don't normally like "reality" shows.

I was rooting for Doug and Jamie. I think Jamie must have been through a lot of abuse in the past, so I don't blame her for being really gun shy. Thankfully, Doug seems a very patient type. So, maybe he can offer the support and patience that she needs to really open up and let her guard down.

As for Vaughn and Monet. I think HE was the biggest problem. Some of the things he said to her and the way he talked to her was very derogatory and nasty. Such as he told her something like she annoyed him and the fact that she was always in a good mood and outgoing. If she was too attentive, it got on his nerves, if she backed off, he said she wasn't attentive to him. I think he was very into himself and childish and was unwilling to compromise. Yes, Monet seemed a strong, independent women. But what is wrong with that? I think from what I saw, she did try very hard to please him while still remaining true to herself. I think HE wanted the divorce. I think if he would have said, yeah, I want to stay married and keep trying, that she would have wanted to also.

As for the other pair, (the names escape me), she was really so open and sweet. You could tell right off that she was totally smitten with him and committed. I was not so sure about him, he was very guarded. Luckily, he got his act together!!!

I can't wait either for the recap show!!!
