Did anyone see it tonight? The guys were watching the All-Star game, so DD and I went upstairs to watch. It's interesting. I'd just finished telling DD I would be OK with someone finding someone for her using the experts, but only to MEET, then Dr. Pepper Schwartz came on and said people would wonder why they didn't do it this way and not have them marry. She said the experts thought the couples would work harder to make things work if they were married. Like those of us who are married don't know it takes work? - DUH!
Maybe kids today don't take it as seriously. One of my former students was joking around one afternoon saying if he got married and he wasn't happy he'd just get divorced. Of course, I took that opportunity to get on my soapbox and tell the kids how important marriage is! I did know the group pretty well and feel comfortable doing that with those particular kids!
Still enjoying the show. DD said you could see Monet looking at her cue cards during the ceremony!

I get that it's a "" social experiment"" but I still don't like the idea so much

I watched. Initially, it looked like the other two couples had chemistry but after watching the previews for next week, I don't know if it'll work out for them. How many episodes are there? It seems they fast forwarded to the end for next Tuesday's episode but that can't be right!

I don't know what it is, but I'm loving this show. I give Doug a lot of credit for easing Jamie into things. He's got a great personality and wonderful way about him. I'm looking forward to seeing the other episodes. It looks like it's gonna get bumpy. But I hold out hope for some of the couples.
For anyone watching, of the three couples which one do you think stands the best chance of making it long term? From what I'm seeing I'd say it's the one with the EMT/Fireman and Makeup artist (Courtney).

I was sorry to see Vaughn and Monet bickering. Maybe they'll make a go of it but when I saw how fussy he is about organization and asking the psychologist to remove her shoes, even if Monet is also equally fussy, it takes a lot of time for two people to get accustomed to the other's strict habits.
She complained he was always angry. It should be interesting to see how much sabotage vs acceptance goes on and how any of them will get in their own way to avoid having what they publicly claim they want.

So far it seems that way.

I think the show showed us the good and the bad of what's coming up. After reading everything I can find about the show, what I THINK is if anyone stayed married it's Jamie and Doug. Cortney never mentions Jason in anything, and I can't find anything about Monet and Vaughn. I don't trust reality shows. I'm sure we'll get more than one "curve" along the way!

I find this show fascinating - don't know why - but I love it. Cortney & Jason have tons of chemistry but time will tell. I would like to see them make it. From the upcoming episodes it looks like Monet and Vaughn are like oil and water. They don't look like they even like each other. As for Jaime and Doug - my guess is she falls for him and they make it work. I'd love to see that. I guess this show is my official summer guilty pleasure.
