I went back to the other thread but wasn't able to post there. Looks like those first 2 thresholds were not met and the talk from the attorney was spot on. At least for Maine, that is.

Hi Pit,

I was going to post THIS link on the other thread. The judge didn't sound too happy about the entire situation. I'm glad it went to the court but in one respect I kind of wish that the governor appealed so that other jurisdictions would also be bound. I'm sure both the governor and Hickox are glad to have this resolved. I'm guessing they both felt backed into a corner and had to continue to fight.

I am a little surprised he didn't appeal the decision.

In the meantime, the American Nurses Association and other professional nursing organizations released statements of support for Kaci. Maybe he didn't want to take the time or possible unintended consequences since he is in a reported tight race for re-election.
