Marking before message with a green check mark.. What does it mean?

Just curious, before each message on the forum is a symbol. On some there is a bright green check mark. Using the cursor... to see what it means or says the word SOLVED comes up. What is this?

it is only in a few of the forums, including fashion and beauty.

if you are asking a question and another person gives you the "correct answer" or the "best answer", the original poster can then mark the post with the green check mark, meaning the question has been solved.

When you start a topic in the certain forums, you have the option to acknowledge when someone else in the Community has given you the “BEST ANSWER” to your original question. Only the original poster can then select what they feel is the best answer to their question, but multiple answers can be flagged as the BEST ANSWER. After a BEST ANSWER is selected, there will be a checkmark to alert other posters that the question has been solved. We hope you will find this added feature helpful when you have a question and then determine someone else already asked and received great answers.

This happened to me once in a post and to this day I still can't figure out what I did to trigger it because to be honest I really didn't want an indicator like that on the thread.

I'm going to have to look into this further, thanks @sunshine45.
