Tomorrow is the Mardi Gras Parade. Just saw this on our local news. They were reporting on the Porta Potties.....yes......
People just don't like to use them. So, this man got the idea to let folks use his bathroom for a slight fee in his apartment. Apparently he has done this for several years now. He has soda, snacks, etc. available for purchase. Plus he has soap and water....and paper towels for the folks to freshen up with. He is located only a block or 2 from the parade route. So, it's pretty convenient.
Said he makes several hundred dollars every year. And bet there are repeat customers.

That guy is innovative! I hate porta-potties, I'd have to be in bad shape to go in one.
When I go to events, I have half a cup of tea in the morning, and that's it until I get home

@Noel7......Very innovated.
Just wait till you get older. You won't be able to find one fast enough. It happens to all of us.

When you live in a city known for party times you learn how to use it. Either hide or work it. He made the choice to work it. A lot of people in Nashville do the same thing for parking in their yards in order to go downtown or to events happening within a few blocks of them. Makes them money. Might as well make money if you have do deal with the "party" going on in your neighborhood.
Extra kuddos to him with the treats.
Yep, repeat visitors will always look for him. Bet he has made a lot of friends along the way.

I've read that a lot of people, including the 20 somethings, wear a diaper. Supposedly that's very true for New Year's Eve in New York while waiting for the ball to drop.

That would be great if others did that, but I don't think anybody would do that in The Garden District!
I don't think I would welcome that-and New Orleans has a high crime rate to begin with....it is enterprising for sure!
