Kentucky basketball is in my blood with state championship titles and several family members who used to play for the Wildcats.  (I even had an athletic scholarship during my undergrad at UK. . .seems like yesterday!)  Our season tickets at Rupp Arena have been used for 6 generations.  We were looking forward to a Final Four in Atlanta.  Disappointed but know the #BBN will carry on.

From what I recall from your previous posts, you didn't attend UK, did you @HeiressIn-FL ?

That is correct. My husband is an alum. You have a wonderful legacy at UK! 💙 We will definitely miss the tournament run. 😥

On Easter Sunday my brother and I were supposed to go see

Jesus Christ Superstar  with stars Ted Neely and Yvonne Elliman in person at a VIP Event

It was cancelled  We are so sad  We are huge fans

That sounds like it would have been a wonderful time.  I hope they are able to reschedule so you can still go some day.

They just emailed me back - it's NOT cancelled!  I'm so happy!!

We'll miss it too.  I've been texting my dad about it this evening, and I can tell he's really disappointed.  We currently have two nephews and a niece enrolled at UK.  The campus has really changed since we were there!

I wouldn't mind if they played the games but had no crowds--just televised them.  I wonder if they even considered that.

My dad shared that the #1 KY girls high school basketball team lost today, so everyone was excited about that.

Playing without the crowds was considered and even planned on for some of the conference tournaments before the NCAA tournament was canceled.

The prospect of all the players traveling through airports from conference tournaments to regionals and on to Atlanta was paramount in arriving at the decision to cancel.

The antics of Rudy Gobert (Utah Jazz) and the NBA cancellations may have also contributed to the decision.

Sporting events of all kinds are a big deal in Las Vegas, and March Madness is no exception.  The casinos host big viewing parties and a lot of folks in the west can share the excitement with everyone who has a team playing.

Everything that makes Vegas fun is being cancelled, and so many people are having their hours cut or getting laid off.  It is a disaster.

@HeiressIn-FL What are your (and your husband's) thoughts about Rick Pitino going to Iona?  😳
