Got a little yard work done yesterday - like trying to trim the weeds UNDER the rose bushes. Now that is a test to get under there and do it. LOL. Did pretty well however - and in the process noticed ANOTHER gopher mound of dirt nearby. Does it ever stop. Also found two ground squirrel holes in the back yard yesterday. They are harder to spot - you just cannot see them unless you happen to be looking down. They leave a lot larger hole but NO dirt to flag where the hole is. When it is in grass, well, harder to spot. But found them and only time will tell if they get stopped. There is NO stopping gophers, I know that, but hopefully you can get a handle on those pesky squirrels. They sure can destroy lawns also but they don't cause the ground to cave in with tunnels. Not sure what the difference is but there is a difference.

Have Curves this morning so will do my thing. SEems to be getting more difficult to do those exercises and I notice ladies older than I are still zooming through it. Perhaps I need to work a bit harder or something but will not give up.

Replaced my phone and Tessa's Mom's phone. I have had VErizon for a lot of years but those two phones were costing me a fortune. Have called and called them trying to get the price down - no one budges until you say you no longer using their services. Spoke to a very nice person - which is a rarity with them - and he wanted to know what he could do to keep me, said I had been a customer for 20 plus years and they did not want to lose me. Told him I had tried but at this point I had made up my mind - he said he figured I had made up my mind. Yep, sure did. LOL. Anyway, got me just a simple talk and text phone - I actually detest cell phones but have had one for 20 years plus to have with me while in the car - it was a getting older safety thing. Anyway, did that and got her one with internet, etc as she has nothing in the home they live in. Feel good about it as it will save me close to $60 a month. With Verizon I was paying $120 PLUS taxes and fees which is a lot. I now will pay $80 for the two phones - now to figure out my other things with Verizon, i.e. Fios tv (which I love), internet and landline. Forgot to mention I do not have a contract - can cancel any time I want to.

Very nippy out this morning - that is not surprising as our mornings are usually a bit testy. Has been cooler however this past week.

Bird Mama, I know how it is when working and trying to manage a house and yard - a bit difficult but I always had the strength for it. It's this getting really old thing that drives me insane.

Betty, I am assuming you are now in Florida - have all the great grands arrived. Now that will be a busy place when everyone gets there.

Am leaving some coffee for those who stop by. Sure hope I see someone. Sigh.

Since it is the last day of the month will bid this adieu. Am sooo sad we had so few to stop by and chat - sure miss all the ones through the years who use to keep us company. Tomorrow is another month, will start another thread an HOPEFULLY we will have more visitors. We need company!!!

Hello there Fencers - stopping say to wave hello and ask, Where in the heck did this month go?

I expect some flowers and the trees near the back fence will start budding in April. Soon it will be warm enough for me to drag out the lawn chairs .
