Lovely, as usual, @butterfly123!   I hope everyone will read this story.   For those who don't like clicking on links, just search on the net for "Omaha man offers free service dog training for hundreds of veterans."    So nice to see these uplifting, hopeful snippets about dedicated people who are so giving to others.   Thanks, @butterfly123!❤️

Re: Man Will Train Service Dogs For Veterans For Free

@butterfly123  Thank you for appreciating this event and thinking enough of veterans to share it here.  There have been so many empty platitudes expressed, with no heart, certanly no follow through of late.  Today's veterans have given their all, voluntarily, because we are committed to our country and communities and yet--- veterans continue to constitute 30% of the homeless.

Service Dogs are life preservers for veterans.  Sometimes the only kindness experienced throughtout the day, or weeks , is from the military service dog.  The only being unafraid, unashamed, unflinchingly steadfast in the veteran's life is their dog. No one else can be trusted to lay down their very lives if necessary , to preserve yours.

Truly qualified trainers are few.  When you can find one in civilian life, they are often prohibitively expensive.  Fortunately, an officer's discipline can suffice when necessary, every veteran knows what command is, but a bonafide dog whisperer is irreplacable.
