I watched Dr.Phil today as I just about watch his show every day and I think that mother needs to have those children taken from her NOW. I could never get into that BO BO show, in fact I even wondered what people thought that was so entertaining about it. Seems like the Mom likes to be in the bed room with some low life men. She said she is legal blind in one eye and almost blind in the other those disabilities don't justify what she is letting happen in that home.

Do you think she sounded ""coached""? like by a lawyer? Some of the phrases she was using didn't sound like ones she would use.

Don't believe her in the least. I think she is trying to not have those kids taken away.

She knew that 2 of her boyfriends were s-ex offenders and her attitude was,

"Well, nobody's perfect".

There is something really wrong with the little girl pageant culture. Isn't that how these people got famous to begin with?

I have never seen an episode of their TLC show, but watching the mother on Dr Phil today I found her very irresponsible, to say the very least.

And when the little girl came out to see Dr Phil's pictures of his granddaughter she behaved like a spoiled brat then walked off.

It's been "one of those days" for like three years now...

Uncle Poodle will be on tomorrow. I saw a picture of Alana during this show, and she was beautiful, and normal weight in the beginning, now she is obese, and will have that burden to deal with her entire life, a real shame. Alana's behavior is due entirely to her home environment, and that is an even bigger shame.

I couldn't believe the size of that kid on the coming attractions for tomorrow.

That can't be healthy.

I've got it on DVR. I saw the first few minutes before I had to do something but....when I looked at Mamma June, she looked doped up. Me thinks she is on Xanax or some sort of downers.

And...Alana is getting bigger and bigger. That's sad too.

I couldn't watch Dr. Phil. Can someone tell me anything about the interview? I know who Uncle Poodle is.

She was also on the news yesterday and a couple of times I had the impression that she feels that SHE is the one deserving sympathy for being in this situation. ----- woman!!!! It is so unreal my head spins.

edited by me to remove a word {#emotions_dlg.sad} that is not allowed, but appropriate

I watched their TV show from the beginning, and always felt they were a loving family--- in their own way---not necessarily by the standards of others. I still feel that way. Sadly, the more June has tried to explain Mark McDaniel, the more she has revealed about her past, which has not reflected well. By her own admission, June hid things from her family, and I don't think she has been honest with herself over her actions. In her mind, this will all go away if they let the past be the past, and don't talk about it anymore. Dr Phil is the type of person June needs to talk with, to get her to face her past, deal with it and it's impact on those she loves, and make any kind of peace with it. This needs to stop being a news story, and just be another family dealing with dark secrets that have come to light. June and her kids need therapy and counseling services, and they need to be left alone to try to fix this mess. June is legally blind, and I always noticed a vagueness in her facial expressions on the show, so I do not think her lack of expression can be used to determine an uncaring attitude. Denial? Absolutely, but I think the denial goes back many years and covers a great portion of her life before and after she knew Mark McDaniel.
