Malibu Pilates Chair

I just put on HSN and see Susan Lucci selling the Pilates Chair. Looks like a big piece of equiment to have in the house. I don't know what benefit it provides that the orginal flat pilates machine wouldn't provide. Does anyone have the chair or the original machine?
