I also can't stand the sight of an unmade bed.  My condo might not always be the cleanest, but I always make the bed as soon as I get out of it in the a.m.

It's just me and the cat, so no one would know but us!  Besides, I don't relish finding clumps of fur under the sheets......it's bad enough on top of the bed!

My bed is made every day, I have gotten DH into this habit, it you look left when you walk in you can see the bedroom so I want my bed made.

I hate making the bed but I like getting into a nice smooth bed so - I have a top sheet and a quilt only on the bed - just flip up the sheet and quilt in one motion slight moment to smooth it and it's done. When I worked I made beds a dozen times a day - and I've always hated doing it. It's even worse when there is a patient occupying the bed while you change it - now that can get pretty darn tricky.

Re: Making the Bed

[ Edited ]

There is all the stuff out in the media now that leaving a bed unmade is healthier, at least for a couple of hours after getting up. Lets it get air and keeps the germs down.

I can't stand an unmade bed. I have to do it relatively shortly after rising. The entire room is a mess, if the bed isn't made.

Guess I'll go make the beds (really at this late hour?).

If I could have some of yours' husbands, and they would do it?  That would be nice!

I cannot imagine an unmade bed in my home. We get up at 3:45 am M-F.  If one of us needs to use the bathroom we better have done it at 3:40 am when the first alarm goes off or hold until the bed is made magazine-worthy style.

I sound so militant, but that's the way I roll.

I have a friend, @magicmoodz, who has a husband and a son in military service.

I'm sure she is appalled at the sloppiness 'round here!

I don't make my bed every day like I do when I change the bedding, but I do pull up the bedding so it is somewhat neat and inviting looking to get into again.

I smooth the cover over the pillows every morning; also cannot stand to look at a bed that looks like someone just crawled out of it.

It is a must for me that my bed is made every day!  It takes so little of my time!
