Magazines: Tearing out ads before reading

When I purchase a magazine, the first thing I do is rip out any ads that are on both sides of a page. It's amazing how thin it is afterwards!

Do you do "The Ripout"?!

I rip out the cardboard inserts.

Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?

No, that would be too time-consuming, I would think. Also (and maybe this is just silly and foolish) {#emotions_dlg.blushing}, it would bother me to destroy a magazine in that way.

No, but I get rid of the stinky perfume inserts first.

No, but I always hold it by the spine and shake so any little inserts fall out.

""The Ripout""? How odd.

Yes, I rip out all advertisements when the magazine comes in the house.

I can't stand the perfume/fragrance pages, so I tear them out and throw them in the outside garbage bin. Keeps away all sorts of critters out there. Sometimes I have to air out (on my side porch) the remaining pages, just to dissipate the fragrance odors.

'More or less', 'Right or wrong', 'In general', and 'Just thinking out loud ' (as usual).

I take out the ads, too. I think that they just get in the way.

Re: Magazines: Tearing out ads before reading

Never even occurred to me to do so...I just flip past the ads, some of them actually catch my eye. I will someday need that extra 5 minutes in my life that it takes to tear them out, so the "The Flip" works for me. Smile
