Give me a break with her $ escalation. This is not Mad Ave!

She may have sold her business but she's still full of herself.  I never watch her.

Her stuff used to be unique and original, now it’s just the same old gaudy stuff with faux diamonds for almost diamond prices. No thanks.

The man representing JAI jewelry was entertaining to watch today.

Ripka has lost any appeal she used to have😏

She has a faux leather bracelet with a tiny bit of sterling and 2 even tinier stones for $250.

No thank you

I like him. Bought a few pieces in the past, and another one today

I’m still considering one of the box chains but I have a few of Barbara Bixby’s chains so it’s hard to justify the $$$.

I agree.  Her designs don't appeal to me.  Just too gaudy for my taste.  To me, the look like something you would get from a gumball machine.  Too expensive for plated metals with fake diamonds.

@tansy

the JAI vendor is great.....scott is very responsive on facebook and quite interactive on his own pages and on qvc group pages.

i purchased three items of his today......the box chain ring, the giraffe ring, and the sunflower ring.

if you decide to go for the box chain items they are really well made and weighty. i have the short thicker box chain necklace, the box chain bracelet, just ordered the box chain layered ring that was a one day only, and am hoping for a big box chain hoop (he said they are working on it.....)

the "madison avenue ripka" is no longer......no more stores in new york and she doesnt even own the company anymore. i cannot fault her for selling the company, but the quality. and uniqueness are no longer there. that is a shame.

Never liked her, her prices or designs.  Her store in NYC was almost always empty and local venders near her store did not like her.

I love animals so i love Jai and Scott is interesting and he sources his materials/ideas/designs from populations who need the work and income.  I like meaning  in my jewelry and Jai and Bixby pieces do provide meaning to me.  They items are very well made.  Yesterday I purchased the Jai giraffe ring and bracelet as well as that beautiful elephant cuff by Bixby (tho I do have a Jai).  I'm just back from Thailand and visited a sanctuary learning to care for elephants so the bracelet was a must and on sale.
