I am so mad at Amazon I could spit. I ordered a pool cover on June 17 to be delivered by June 30. Didn't come, I checked with Post Office and they had no trking number. Five calls to Amazon and finally find order was cancelled by 3rd party vendor but A never informed me; no real apology no recourse, no nothing. Did I mention this took 5 calls and 1 1/2 hrs. I have been with them from beginning (1000s of $ and items)?

Very frustrating. Usually Amazon has great cs, obviously someone dropped the ball.
I am sorry for your ordeal.

I've had an order cancelled too with no notification. I ordered for my mother and assumed she got it... been having trouble with their service orders lately. I've always had a love hate relationship with them. Right now it's not love.

@patbz Surely you must be mistaken; according to posters here, Amazon is perfect and super speedy. (Not always)

Now that is funny. My first order with prime was wrong. I ordered a phone and got an alarm clock. I was emailed a prepaid label, but it took me a couple days to get to a drop off center. We don't have a UPS hub here. They didn't offer to have it picked up and I didn't know. I received an email every morning telling me they were going to charge me for the alarm clock. I wasn't happy and almost cancelled prime.

For the past month or so I have been getting cancellation notification emails from Amazon stating my orders have been successfully canceled followed by a long canc. #. I had not ordered anything from amazon since Jan 2016 until this past Friday when I did place an order. I did not open the emails so I have no idea what they said. I hope I get my legitimate order.

No place is perfect, but compared to other companies, Amazon comes close.

Amazon may be having growing pains, adding 3rd party vendors all the time to be competitive.
Buyer beware. If it looks too good to be true (Amazon), it probably is.

I get at least 3 of those phony Amazon cancellation notices every day. They go to my hotmail e-mail, Amazon doesn't even have my hotmail address, I use a different one for Amazon, plus they're never arrive in my in-box, they go automatically to my junk folder with all the other baloney e-mails, ya know the ones telling me I have won forty million dollars, and fabulous business propositions and the ones offering me viagra, etc.

Some items on Amazon are not sold by Amazon, they are sold through the Amazon website by vendors,
If there was a vendor involved, they dropped the ball, not Amazon, if Amazon is having a problem with an order, they will e-mail you. If they have to cancel an order, they always let you know 100% of the time.
Direct your anger to the vendor. If Amazon gets too many complaints about a vendor, they will drop them.
