Re: MY YEARLY ROSE OF TRALEE THREAD

Love the sweaters!  I am not feeling the line up of products though based upon the past show selections.  I've loved in past years where there were blocks of shows.....belleek, then the sweaters, then jewelry...it just seems that it is more of a hodgepodge of stuff...

@ShowMe - how are you feeling today???

Well, looks like everyone is sleeping and no one will be joining me on  here......so, my dears, I am signing out for the night.  I need my rest, but will return sometime tomorrow.

Have a good night's sleep.

Hey there!   Sorry I missed you, @ShowMe!    Things are usually pretty quiet here in the wee hours of the night/morning from what I've seen.    There will be more viewers and posters up and around tomorrow, probably.   I'm watching the show and enjoying the musical, lilting Irish accents.    Sweet dreams, to all who are off to bed.

That's why these shows are on in the off hours.  A handful of women here seem to enjoy them but don't buy anything.  That's the problem, this show isn't popular with QVC shoppers overall and it isn't profitable.  It's just mass produced that they sell in the tourist shops.  People don't seem to understand that you can't just sit back and enjoy these specialty shows, you have to support them by purchasing items every year.  Qvc isn't in the entertainment business.  If a line or an event isn't profitable, they can't continue.  Although it's apparent that this is the last of the Rose of Tralee shows.

@chrystaltree - for many many years, the participants on the thread were sharing the fun of watching AND BUYING on the Irish programs.  Lots of merchandise sold.  A few years back, the Q did to the Irish shows what they've done to the rest of their product lines which is to neglect them.  They bring back the same products over and over and over.

Fewer than half dozen new items to choose from and basically throw away time slots.

Yes, the death knell is ringing for the Irish products, shows and fun on QVC.

Hi Mick......glad to see you on here.  Gosh, it seems I am agreeing with most of the posters on this thread about the situation that is going on.

That throw is beautiful.  Am loving the colors.

Guess this last treatment is making me feel the tiredness again.  The previous treatment didn't do that to me as much.  And the taste for food really isn't all that good either.  This too will pass some day.

@chrystaltree.......so far only 1 poster on here has made a purchase.  (sorry, I meant for this response to be to you)

This is the second showing of the sweater they have on now.

I am thinking of purchasing the Inis fragrance.  Have had many compliments when I wear the one I have from a few years ago.  Am just about out of it.  It is such a clean fragrance.

@ShowMe - It's sad.  I've always enjoyed watching and shopping and the thrill of anticipation of my new Irish products arriving at my home.  I looked over everything that was to be offered, I even keep checking back hoping they held out some new products until showing them.

I bought the Belleek Holly & Ivy Pot during an Irish Christmas show during Christmas in July as well as the Waterford & Connemara Marble Hurricane during CIJ.

I had to get up early to get my grandsons off to school, so staying up to enjoy the programming in the wee hours wasn't possible.  What I'm seeing during this show so far is just not even holding my interest.  It really makes me sad.

Have you ever purchased the Inis before?  It's a lovely fragrance.

Hi @ShowMe Smiley Happy

I'm going to have to go look at the individual items in the preview, they don't show on the iPad.

Hope it's a good day for you!

@Buck-i-Nana.......Yes, I have purchased it before.  I'm still thinking if I want to order it.  Better do it before it sells out.  LOL

Oh how I wish it was better too.  Last week it was a good week.

You know when you have been going for treatments as long as I have, you develop a friendship with others that are in the treatment room with you.  We all say it is odd how we can feel from one week to the next.  Heck, this one man that was sitting just across from me......he started counting 1, 2, 3....when I was getting up to get out of the chair to go home.  And we all laughed.
