I have a black and tan walker hound that has come about my home. He was starving, and I have bought food for him, and cook for him. I keep my door partially ajar, so he can come in, and that is a danger in rural south GA, but I do it anyway. He has reaped havoc at my neighbors, but causes me no problems. He has obviously been abused, and I found out he was owned by our chief deptuy sheriff, and I have been trying to find him home. I live next to a fox hunting preserve, and someone has told me to throw him in there, as he is a hunting dog, and they have automatic feeders. I lost my Savannah to the rainbow bridge in January, and I am not ready for another fur baby, as I had her for 14.5 years, and her ashes still sit on my be, and besides, this dog stays more at the neighbors, and it would be difficult for him to become totally mine. He loves being around children, and comes to me for food. My local animal control still uses the gas chamber, which is illegal in GA, and I am working on that, and he fights pit bulls, and I am working on that. I just do not know what to do any more, I also have the local animal shelter in my next big town, Valdosta GA, but the abuse that has been uncovered in their shelter is just unspekable. Just look up the Valdosta Daily times in Valdosta, Ga, and see what they are doing. I am sooooo sorry to ramble on, but I just do not know what to do any more. This dog is just tooooo precious for bait, and tooooooo precious for more abuse, but he is just living day to day, and could really be a good dog for someone. I wish it could be me, but he is tooo tangled between two loving and caring homes.{#emotions_dlg.confused1}
