I'm so sorry for your loss @catlover .  My mother died in 2000, and my father has dementia and will be 91 years old soon.  It was so hard when my mother died.  I will keep you in my prayers.

@catlover  I’m so very sorry for your loss. Both my parents have been gone for many years & I still feel the sting.When you have good parents their loss hurts more.

My heartfelt sympathy goes out to you.  Losing your father so quickly is such a shock, regardless of his age.  Let yourself cry as much as you want to.  Tears are appropriate.  It’s even tougher when you lose your last parent.  My father died suddenly many years ago; my mother died ten years ago after being ill for quite a while.  Either way, it’s a tough road, and my heart and prayers go out to you.
