OK, my name is Max by the way and I am in college. I am under the GI Bill and when this semester is over I am going to be put on academic suspension. The college says that I will be able to only take 2 classes for the fall semester. I was telling my dad about a plan that would help me. My plan is to go live with my mom (200 miles away) and get a job until the beginning of next year so I dont waste my GI Bill benfits for only two classes while not getting a housing allowance ($900 a month). My mom agreed of not making me pay rent or anything else except for my car insurance, phone, car coverage, gas, etc. I pay about $600 in all that stuff. Right now I only have $800 in the account. And every month my mom pays me and my brother $350 for child support.

My dad thinks i should take the semester (2 classes) and not get a job while still paying for all of that stuff above. He also said that when I need money i should take a loan from my brother who also pays $500 for his stuff and recieves housing allowance ($900). I do not think his idea is so great and that it is not a smart thing to do. I know I got myself into this mess but I dont want to get any deeper because of financial problems that i will face if i do his plan and waste around 4 or five months of my GI Bill on just 2 classes when I can take 4 classes for the beginning of next year. I feel like I should do my plan.

What do you think I should do? Stick with his plan or do mine instead.
