Actually, the person who starts a thread shouldn't assume everyone will automatically know what they're talking about.  It happens from time to time.   I'm sure you've seen this on here before.

I don't follow this couple, but I did see a news blip that a lot of deliveries are being made to the garden today. My first thought was, only today? That is a big venue for a reception to only have setup done in one day. I am interested in the decorating.

So true @hopi. Reports are that the couple have donated $26 million to charities across the country ahead of their wedding. Nine of the charities are in NYC.

In addition, all this spending is pumping up the economy in all the areas where they will be having any festivities.

Certainly better than last year's big wedding when Bezos, after receiving huge tax breaks in the US to assist in building his massive empire, went to Italy to spend his multi-millions on his wedding there.
