Hmmmmm.  Will MSG's AC be set at 78 degrees this weekend?  I think not.  That's just for the peasants.

It'll be set to the temperature comfortable for the private parties paying for it.

Well then that's why the peasants have to swelter.  With MSG at a comfortable temperature and the peasants sweltering, the power grid won't fail.  Yea, ok.

Exactly @Lakelife62   The Garden is not a building owned by a government agency

Owners and those paying for services can decide how to operate it.

Con Ed is already reducing voltage around parts of the City; it's a manageable situation.

I understand where you are coming from, but money talks.

If someone is going to pay a bazillion dollars to rent out my facility, they are going to get the place heated/cooled to their desired temperature.

Lots of sweaty wedding guests I would say

Stop being afraid of what could go wrong and start being positive what could go right.

Who in their right mind would comply with that

ridiculous  request  of 78 degrees by someone who more than likely will  have their thermostat  below 68 degrees or be at an expensive  beach resort with his rich wife.

there are people who died every year from heat exposure in innner cities .

Also look at all those Europeans who  don't have any ac and are dying ....

I think she still has a residence in NYC.  It will be interesting to see who besides celebrities she has invited.

Perhaps she will also invite the two climbers since they did upstage them to a certain extent.
