Im a Mosquito Magnet.  But Im also severely allergic to mosquito bites.

Not a fan. Use care if you have pets and the chemical used kills beneficial insects like bees. 🐝

If you're a senior and vulnerable to insect borne diseases, just stay inside after 6pm to be sure.

My mom died in 2003, the first year West Nile Virus appeared in New Mexico.  Her cause of death was verified by the state health department.

Mom was legally blind and one of her few pleasures was sitting on her covered patio overlooking the golf course, in the evenings.  They always had a bug zapper plugged in and immediately went inside if the mosquitoes got bad, but one apparently got her anyway.

there was something going around TikTox and Instagram about using Pure vanilla extract, there's apparently something in it they don't like. I'm on the water and there's always something flying around here🙃

I'm so sorry to see this @Kachina624 .  As someone who gets a lot of bug bites including inside my house, I can totally understand how even with the most stringent precautions, mosquitoes can still be present.

@Kachina624   I'm so sorry to hear about what happened to your mother. A lot of people just are not aware of how dangerous these little  beasts can be and the diseases that they can carry.

 I have  always been a mosquito magnet and am not outdoors

on my porch, in the evening. We live in a wooded area and I don't want to use chemicals on my skin.

This is the second year, that West Nile Virus has appeared in the next town, to us.

  Thank you for warning others about the dangers of mosquitoes.

@JoyFilled Warrior  I just have to ask--how are we supposed to "avoid rain 1 week before/after spraying the yard"? That's a two-week spread--there's no way! Not in my neck of the woods, anyway.

Last year, there wasnt a sufficient amount of dry days, so I merely just had to re-spray the yard again, when there was a longer string of dry days. 

This Yard Cutter bottle just screws on to a hose, & takes only a short time to spray the yard (& I spray up into the trees a little bit).  It's like just hosing the yard.

  I wear long sleeve shirts , no perfume ,  slacks and even a netted bug hat  when I'm out. I don't care   what people say .  I spray my hat , ankle areas of my slacks and  around the shoulders of my shirt .
