1. It is time to just be happy. Being sad, angry and
overthinking isn't worth it anymore. Just let things
flow...Be Positive.
2. My mom once said to me, I can tell you over and
over to leave the situation but you won't until you
are ready. One day you will wake up and realize
that this isn't what you want to feel like anymore
and you'll be done. And I think it's important
that everyone hears this.
3. When I stop talking and turn away it doesn't
mean you've won. It simply means you are not
worth anymore of my time.
4. Just because I carry it all so well, doesn't
mean it's not heavy.
5. This is the part of my life I silently remove
myself from, anyone who hurts me more than they
love me, drains me more than replenish me,
brings me more stress than they do peace,
and tries to stunt my growth rather than clap
for it. I think that I've done more than enough
talking and trying to make things work with certain
people. I'M DONE.
6. If you can't dance in the rain with me,
you will never be with me in the storm and
if you aren't in the storm with me, I don't
need you in the sunshine either.
7. 4 things you can't get back...
The STONE after it's THROWN.
The WORD after it's SAID,
The OCCASION after it's MISSED.
The TIME after it's GONE.
8. Remember that everything you do and say,
your children are listening and watching you.
Including how you treat the other parent,
your relationship and everyone else in
general. STOP POISING YOUR CHILDREN!!!
Be an example of how they should treat men,
women, or just PEOPLE in general.
9. If you feel like you're losing everything,
remember that trees lose their their leaves
every year and they still stand tall and wait
for better days to come.
10. I can respect any person who can put their
ego aside and say, "I made a mistake, I apologize
and I'm correcting the behavior."
11. Always trust your gut: Your brain is a fool
and your heart is an idiot, but your gut doesn't
know how to lie.
12. A child is going to remember who was there,
not what you spent on them. Kids outgrow a toy
and outfits, but they never outgrow time and love.

With all due respect and not to say I don't agree with some of what is said here, I had a very difficult time getting past number 1. There is a time to take responsibility for the mire we're in and we can't always let things flow.

I think this is wonderful and I thank you for posting. I am sure that different numbers will be more meaningful to some than others. The ones which I really like are 3, 4, 6, 7, and 9.

Thanks @Lindsays Grandma I appreciate these posts. They always give pause for reflection.

#11 is my favorite, but they're all golden!

Wonderful words of wisdom. I can't pick a favorite. They are all worth living by.

No. 3 is certainly one I relate to. Especially where one person is concerned.

@RoughDraft @Lindsays Grandma RoughDraft, I believe Lindsay's Grandma meant we must do what we can about the things we can change, and accept the things we cannot change. We should then move on and be happy, thankful, and grateful for what we do have in life or one can choose to dwell on the negative and be miserable their whole life. I’ve lived in different countries and know how lucky I am to live here and I choose to be grateful.

#8 I remember my young son prefacing just about anything he wanted to say that was important with, "Mommy says". That ended in the 7th grade, but as an adult and still a bachelor at 35, he will tell you he feels no need to be married unless he can find a woman like his Mom and he wants to be married forever like his parents are.

@Ketra Interesting how each of us has a differing viewpoint isn't it?
