@ShowMe, my heart has opened to you, I hope you can feel the love that is pouring out . . .
I have had melanoma three times in my life, fortunately caught it early enough each time. Stay positive! People ARE recovering from the metastatic form these days.
I went onto Amazon and found computer screen filters that might serve you well while your eyes are so sensitive. Fellowes Standard Filter looked like a good possibility. Prayers are with you. And blessings. ![]()

we would be told that we are to old to be here to try to read on these forums or that our eyes are too old and that's our problem..wrong!
What is wrong with a person asking for some help to tone down the greyness. Why should we need to buy another pair of glasses??
It's not our glasses we need help with.
There is nothing wrong asking for help.
I don't understand the rude comments. I've noticed lately people post and are mean, but don't dare do it to them.
@nunya......Guess the moderators ignore the rude comments. I too have noticed more people are changing the longer the new forum is here. At first they were afraid they would get banned or something.....
By the way, I gave someone a heart......but it was a sarcastic heart....... That is why I did it.

Why so rude?
@luv-the-Q......that's NOT rude.............it's a suggestion that may help her problem, since this has been an ongoing problem for her, one that hasn't changed and probably isn't going to any time soon.................since it hasn't already........................................raven

@MaggieMack.......Thank you so much for your kind words. Yes, I have been very Blessed with kindness on these forums......There are a lot of folks that are praying for me and have me on different lists at their churches.......I know there are many folks.....and yes I can feel the love of the people here.
One think in my favor is that this is a slow growing cancer.....think that is the way it is with some of us old folks. Have been told the cancer cells don't grow as fast in us as they do in the younger. You were very fortunate they caught yours early and could get rid of it. Know Jimmy Carter and I are thinking the same thing about now. He has a few years on me, and am sure he will have some side affects too. I do have some meds for some of them, but not for everything. Have been very fortunate that I haven't had a lot of pain with it. More itching on the spot on my back than pain. I do take Tylenol Extra Strength sometimes.....but not very often.
Thanks for the Amazon suggestion. I will check into it. When I was working, I always ordered Fellows office supplies when I could.....they are very dependable.

@raven-blackbird Yes, it was rude. Why does it bother you, even if she posts her complaint every single day?

I'll get in the middle of this. Do you know Raven? One thing I know about her is that she proactive and she herself had a bout with cancer. She is absolutely the last person on this forum who would ever kick someone when they were down and sick. She's a tell it like it is type of person and I seriously do not believe that she was trying to be rude......quite the contrary, I thinks he was trying to be helpful. Her intentions were good.....
That is what is so difficult about the interpretation of the written word. But she's good peeps and I would hate for Show Me to become upset about this.....

@VioletEyes.......yes, I knew she was a cancer survivor way back before this....... I am not upset about her suggestion, nor what she has said. But I do know those glasses are not what my eye specialist would want me to have. This vision problem is supposed to be only temporary....... Know that when I am off the chemo for a while, it may come back, but do not expect it to be immediate.
I did not give her a sarcastic heart.....just to set the record straight.

Thankfully, it is temporary regarding your vision and all of this will resolve in time.
Just be sure you take care of yourself ......lots of sleep and small meals. And just know that you have many people on this forum praying for you...
Have a good evening!![]()

@VioletEyes........Yes, I am thinking I need to get off of here for the night and get ready for bed. It takes me some time usually to calm down at the end of the day so I can go to sleep when I hit the bed. Say my prayers and then go to sleep......that's my schedule.....
