We changed Part D plans.  The process is the simplest we've used since the program started.  Took about 5 minutes.  When you choose your new plan, the application screens are pre-filled with your information from the Medicare files.  You review it, answer some questions, type in your name, and you're done.

@Cats3000 did you go to Medicare.gov to do it or through the insurance company website?

Re: MEDICARE OPEN ENROLLMENT

As a FYI, even if you don't have plans to make changes it is a good idea to do some checking.

I did that yesterday and discovered that my most important medication will not be covered in 2021 by my current provider.

The search is on for a new provider that does cover it.

What is good for the goose today will also be good for the gander tomorrow.

Re: MEDICARE OPEN ENROLLMENT

You make a good point

I've been on the same HMO for a couple of years, no complaints.

But now my preferred hospital is offering their own plan.

I checked it out, their drug prices are higher, in 1 case much higher.

Then I thought I better check with my current plan.

For all the promises of lower drug costs, I'm not seeing it.
