He may be gross to look at, but he's a fine chef. I suppose because of the way he looks, he seemed harmless. That's why I am still amazed that he is one of the latest to fall.

@RainCityWoman- he is gross and sloppy in every way.  I've met up with this character numerous times and it wasn't nice.  I find it sad that Lydia has to deal with his dirt which has finally come out.  I've been to his restaurants and he is not remarkable and I don't think without the Bastianich name behind him, he would have his current success.  I'm sure his "stepping away" from his restaurants was forced.  He is an arrogant pig who just happened to have the necessary contacts in the culinary world.  I hope he becomes a "has been" but he "never was" in my eyes.  And, he wasn't harmless with rape room at another establishment.  Everyone knew about Batali

You need to read more closely what I said. I feel like I've been dressed down here, and all I did was make a passing comment.I wasn't defending him and I didn't say he was harmless, I just said that his appearance might make him look harmless. Obviously, I don't have such a dossier on him as you do. NO, not everyone knew about him! He grew up in my state, and I've seen him on The Chew only. But I consider myself officially "put in my place," so, uh, nice talking to ya.

I've been watching 'The Chew' on the nightly re-run episodes on LWN.  The remaining three hosts are doing a great job on their own.  I'm going to continue to watch.

I also like it with just the three of them.   Batali always skeeved me out and Daphne Oz just annoyed me times a million.   So just having Carla, Michael, and Clinton is very good.

I've watched the show since it began and found myself usually wanting to FF through Batali or Oz segments.

I don't know why so many shows need 4, 5, or more, hosts.  It gets too cluttered, anyway.

I never saw The Chew until recently, I was looking for holiday ideas.  I liked it but I did not like Batali.  I'd seen him on TV before and I always thought he was creepy, too.

I wasn't even sure who he was, I thought he was on one of the shopping channels, I guess not.

I've seen the Chew and all of them are creepy to me.  To be fair, even the women.

Although, creepy looking people aren't always predators.  They just happen to look creepy.

I've was channel surfing and thought maybe they were dressing up for Halloween. One woman, I thought was wearing a disguise with a large nose.  Then I realized it was her actual nose.

Show doesn't interest me at all.  Snooze fest.

@Lucky Charm.  Even though he was fired from a tv show, he has been a famous and successful chef in NYC for a very long time. I think he got on that show based on that. Besides being a famous chef and having a number of restaurants, it was not a secret here what he was like so it wasn't a surprise when he was named.

I wonder what happens if a rock star (or any musician) in a group gets charged with sexual misconduct.  Do they get kicked out of the band? Does that mean the show is over?  No more concerts?

Is it up to the public?  Will be interesting it see how it 'plays out'.

It's always been known that some genres of music have 'groupies' and lots of hanky panky going on.  Just like we've always heard of the 'casting couch' in Hollywood.

I'm wondering when the first person will speak up.

I read a few days age someone was complaining about being groped by Gene Simmons in the past few months. Oh, edited to add, rock stars have always had their groupies. I think most of their antics were consensual.

I don't care how great a chef he is. (I actually remember thinking "ick" at some of the dishes he was preparing, so maybe his great chefness is lost on me)

Apparently he thinks some cinnamon buns will get him off the hook, though.

Hey, I'm not arguing with you. I just added a comment. Jeez!

Well, that's really all I did as well.

I have been done with Mario and Lidias son Joe since I found out about their tip skimming in which they were successfully sued by over 100 employees for over $5 million dollars.

I am personally really over Rose McGowan too for having the nerve to call out Alyssa Milano, Meryl Streep and others for what she says is not being involved enough in support of other women. Sorry but if your silence is bought with money to not report what Harvey did to you and you then go on to work with a director who served jail time for raping a child (and recording himself doing it) and you say that is none of your business, he is a sweet man, you don't get to judge other women for how they didn't do enough to call out Harvey or support other women. She is a hypocrite.
