Although I keep some in the laundry room, I don't routinely use it. The clothes need a second rinse IMO, and I won't waste water to get that medicinal scent out.

Years and years ago, I used Lysol or Hexol on clothing items, and couldn't get the strong odor out.
That was then. I'm guessing the newer options are less strong, etc. now-a-days.
Update: I just learned / read a poster's post....this is a different, newer Lysol product. Not related to the regular Lysol.
Thank you for your information.

I have 2 cats and horses. I use it cat and horse laundry, Including my clothes I wear in the barn. I sometimes use it on clothes that took a beating in a hot climate. Wouldn't be without it and I have seen no changes to any laundry.

I've been using a cup of white vinegar in my rinse for years..and it kills "sock" odor.

I don't recall seeing that on the bottle. It's not a big deal for me to do a second rinse b/c I only do it every once in a while when I use the Lysol sanitizer. I don't use it in every load, just in one every six weeks or so.

I have been using this for years. I even had back up stock during COVID. I never go without it.
I mostly use it for sheets, towels and dog laundry. I have not noticed any difference in the way my laundry feels.
I do know that most people use way too much laundry detergent and it doesn't completely rinse out.
That will make your towels feel coated and stiff.

The Lysol laundry sanitizer is different than the other Lysol products. I started using it during Covid but don't use it now for regular laundry.

I also do a second rinse after the rinse with the sanitizer for the same reason. I figure if it has killed the germs, job is done.
Early in using this rinse, I noticed my rinse cycle is barely long enough as per directions so I have to remember to cut in and pause washer after few minutes to allow good soak. Since DD was preschool teacher, we had thought this important to get rid of the constant chain if germs. 😂 Then second rinse.
