I had this style of a lunch box in tartan red plaid.  Yes, my thermos broke the first week.  We bought milk at school, we lived too far to walk.  I remember all chocolate milk with maybe 5 cartons of white.  I remember it being six cents.  On an occasional Friday, we got a dime for a coke.  (Lunch was in the church basement, which was also the bingo hall, which had a coke, Pepsi and Teem machine).

So funny when I wrote this post I thought milk was maybe 5 cents but wasn't sure.
