Hi! I remember a few months ago you mentioned yiou had gone to an Indian wedding for the daughter of a dear friend, and whose DH also was in the same practice as your DH. Anyway, a few weeks ago I was watching "I Found the Gown" and it featured a very similar situation. The girl was marrying her fiance who was in med school in SF., her dad was a doctor in NYC, her mom a designer, who was very strong about planning the Indian wedding.

She ordered all the clothes special made in India, she went over there in fact, and the wedding was just gorgeous, everything over the top. Amazing. Very expensive. , so elaborate and beautiful. The bride let her mom design it all, but insisted on choosing her own reception dress, at Kleinfeld's, it was really gorgeous, cost $12,500.00.

Anyway, this just reminded of what you had said about the wedding you had attended In NYC that sounded so similar. If it is too personal, I respect your right to not answer. If it was, all I can say was how lucky you were to attend.Smile

Anyone else see this show?

Mama Mia, it was a different wedding but quite elaborate, too. I do not think it is unusual for Indian girls to order their traditional wedding attire from India.

The MOB is one of my dearest friends. She gifted me with a traditional ensemble to wear to the wedding. It was (is) gorgeous and it was quite an experience wearing it.

I hope you are well.
