Has anyone shopped at a Lucky Store? I noticed they are opening one near me.

@Elom   There is one near me. I don't like ours, in part because it's in a dirty old building and I feel like the whole place is unsanitary.  And I have seen some unsanitary things going on with the employees who handle food.  High prices too.   It's a Whole Foods wannabe with no advantages to it over WF than I can see.  I don't like to shop there. It's right next to one of the post offices I use and so I often do a "run through" when I go to the P.O. and almost always end up not buying anything and leaving saying "yuk" to myself.  Nice greeting card selection though.

I hope yours is better than ours.

Lucky supermarket?  They were bought out by Albertsons and then brought back the Lucky name.  I loved them in the 80’s.  They were called Food Basket in San Diego.  My husband and his family worked for Lucky and said that it changed when it became Albertsons.

Re: Lucky Stores

I love our Lucky.  No need for those st*pid supermarket coupons or membership cards in order to receive the sale prices. Also, we must 'Add' the items to the store's website or we won't have the special sale price reflected on our receipt.  What a hassle.   . ......... By contrast: At Lucky, the sale price is automatically the sale price. Easy, breezy.    Same with Trader Joe's.  The price is the price, and that's it.

It's more relaxing to shop at non-membership supermarkets, unless one is buying in bulk and is a Costco member.  Even at Costco, I doubt that one has to 'Add' specific 'sale' items to their website list in order to buy those items at the advertised sale prices.

'More or less', 'Right or wrong', 'In general', and 'Just thinking out loud ' (as usual).

I thought this was about the Lucky clothing store. I hadn’t heard of the supermarket before. Lol

I also never heard of Lucky food stores and thought you were asking about the Lucky clothes store. I was shopping Saturday in a new (to me) shopping mall and noticed a Lucky clothing store but did not stop in. I assumed it was mostly Lucky jeans.
