Out of the three Lucille Ball statues I was able to find online, I think this one is the best, from the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences:

These stories have been around for years locally....they just recently were picked up by the national press.
The statue is in Celeron - her hometown - which is really small and off the beaten path.

It looks as if the artist became confused and merged the likeness of Lucy with Desi. The sculpture of Lucy looks like Desi in drag AS Lucy.
