[Big Sister]

The first of three-four storms are on their way and should begin tonight into Tuesday a.m.  Residents are stocking up on sand bags to protect their homes.  Once the land is saturated, then the landslides begin.

I may be protected since I am in the flat lands.

It's been raining all day here in the Phoenix area and it's supposed to rain all the rest of the week. Fabulous. Enjoying it because the dreaded summer will be here all to soon.

It's almost 6:30 pm and no rain yet.  There's a slight breeze and sometimes that blows away the clouds to other states/areas.  I have to say, I'll believe it when it happens.

Yay!  Yay!  Yay!  It's wonderful.  I went out shopping for things today so I can stay home for a few days.  Just watching the rain.

It has been so long since we had any rain that the parking lots are filthy, tree leaves are dusty, pollen sticking on everything.  That first water to go down in the flood canals will be very dirty, also carrying lots of litter.

We're supposed to get 2-4" of snow after midnight tonight and rain or snow every day for the next week.  Ski areas have record snow pack and the Eastern Plains still are struggling to dig out of last week's snowfall.  Thousands of dead cattle.
