I never thought it was a domesticated cat.

@Group 5 minus 1   It's still a cat.  LOL  I was responding to your first post indicating that this was not a cat.

The whole thing is a joke captioned on a real picture of somebody's encounter with this cat.

Looks like a mountain lion, or puma, or cougar.  Call the authorities.  DO NOT approach, DO NOT feed it.  They are losing their habitat at an alarming rate.  Not enough people care to stop this so yes, they end up on our door step.  It's not the animal's fault.  It needs to be darted and relocated in a place (if they can find one) away from communities.  This is why building and deforestation must stop.  THEY need a place to live too.....please be careful.  A cat this size and even one that's only 40lbs. can kill you very easily.  Keep your distance.  He's beautiful though.

Actually, male mountain lions can weigh anywhere from 120lbs - 220lbs.

Females can weigh anywhere between 64 lbs and 140lbs.

If I saw a mountain lion outside my door, I would leave it alone. I would not want it to be relocated, because what if it was a mama? You relocate her, then her babies would starve and die. You wouldn't want that to happen, would you? And the likelihood of finding the cubs are remote at best.
